opportunities for family adventures. From burning some serious rubber on a go-karting
experience to watching the sun set together at the dazzling Dubai Fountain display,
keep your children inspired and entertained with our ultimate family day out in
MORNING: 9am – 12pm
Beat the crowds and make a beeline for Dubai Mall. Children can try their hand at being a doctor, chef or pilot at Kidzania’s pint-sized city, while mum and dad indulge in some retail therapy. Alternatively, travel back to prehistoric times and admire the incredible Dubai Dino, a 155-million-year-old dinosaur skeleton which is 8 metres tall and 25 metres long. Or enjoy a cooling skate around Dubai Ice Rink and work up an appetite for lunch. From American ribs and Italian pizza to Indian curry and Middle Eastern falafel, you can eat your way around the world in 80 cuisines. A cavernous entertainment utopia, the mall has unlimited excuses for fun, and is a popular place for family days out in Dubai.
LUNCHTIME: 12pm – 3pm
Next spend a couple of hours putting pedal to the metal go-karting at Dubai Autodrome’s Kartdrome. With exhilarating tracks, including an indoor track ideal for summer, you can feel the adrenaline rush while out-racing each other for poll position. Dubai Autodrome’s karting is suitable for children aged 7 years and up. Follow your pulse-raising karting session with a serene stroll around the tropical beauty of The Green Planet. A giant bio-dome housing all manner of exotic flora and fauna, it’s the perfect place for your family to come eye-to-eye with sloths, geckos and toucans.
AFTERNOON: 3pm – 6pm
For thrills and spills on an epic scale, IMG Worlds of Adventure delivers and then
some. It’s the world’s largest indoor theme park, featuring daredevil Marvel-themed
rides, LazyTown adventures and interactive dinosaur action in the Lost World zone.
Visit the spooky Haunted Hotel if you dare, get a sugar rush at World of Candy and hang
out with Spider Man and the Powerpuff Girls in the Meet and Greet zone.
EVENING: 6pm – 9pm
As the evening draws in, head outside to Dubai’s many parks and enjoy the balmy temperatures and gorgeous scenery. With swings, slides and sandpits, Jumeirah Lakes Towers Park is great for little ones. After the sun sets, head to the Dubai Fountain, located on the 30-acre Burj Lake, for a dazzling water and light show set to music. For the best seat in town you can watch from aboard an abra, a traditional wooden boat. Wind up your unforgettable family day out in Dubai with a tantalising dinner at one of Madinat Jumeirah’s sublime restaurants. Choose from Asian cuisine at noodle house or casual BBQ dining at Perry & Blackwelders, Dubai’s first smokehouse.
